Christine Pelosi is running for a State Senate seat. Pelosi, the daughter of longtime Congresswoman and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, made the announcement this week. The 59-year-old will be running for the San Francisco-area seat currently held by Democrat Scott Weiner. Weiner’s term is not up until 2028, but he is running for Nancy Pelosi’s Congressional seat, which she will vacate in early 2027. If he wins, the State Senate seat would be open. Christine Pelosi is an attorney and Democratic Party activist who has never held elected office.
