The Los Angeles Olympics Organizing Committee is adding several Republican leaders to its board of directors. LA28, a 35-member volunteer board, is adding former House Speaker and Bakersfield Republican Kevin McCarthy. It is also adding Reince Priebus, who served as President Trump’s chief of staff during the first six months of his first term. Before that, he was chair of the Republican National Committee. Other additions include Diane Hendricks, a major GOP donor who has given millions of dollars to Trump’s campaigns, Dallas Mavericks’ owner Patrick Dumont, and Ken Moelis, an investment banker who worked with Trump in the 1990s. The Olympic Games will be held in Los Angeles from July14th to July 30th, 2028.
