Governor Gavin Newsom is blaming President Trump for the lack of rebuilding following the deadly wildfires in Los Angeles County. Newsom made the comments while on the East Coast at last week’s New York Times Dealbook Summit. It comes after Newsom asked the federal government for 34-billion dollars in aid for Palisades and Eaton fire victims. Rebuilding has largely not started after the fires that tore through Pacific Palisades, Malibu and Altadena in January despite President Trump demanding homeowners be allowed to rebuild quickly. The one-year anniversary of the fires is now less than a month away.
