Palisades Fire victims are accusing the city of Los Angeles of blocking transparency about the disaster. This week, attorneys for the city moved to block the release of depositions from firefighters. The depositions are expected to detail firefighters’ actions and decisions during and leading up to the deadly fire. A group of Palisades Fire victims is suing the city. Last June, the city’s attorneys invoked a general protective order in the case. It allows both sides to designate all or part of any testimony in the case as confidential for up to 30 days.
