ICE agents are expected to be handling some security duties at Los Angeles International Airport and other area airports beginning today. Border Czar Tom Homan has said ICE agents are being deployed to airports around the nation to help the TSA amid the ongoing partial government shutdown. Agents at LAX are expected to just be working general security, which will free up TSA agents to perform X-ray screening.
