Los Angeles County saw the largest population decline in the U.S. in 2025. That’s according to new data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Between July 1st, 2024 and July 1st, 2025, nearly 54-thousand people moved out of L.A. County. The population decline has been happening steadily for a few years now. The county now has less than nine-point-seven-million residents. In 2020, it had more than ten-million residents. In 2025, Riverside and San Bernardino counties saw a combined increase of more than 21-thousand residents.
