A new report details the finances of Bay Area Congressman and Democratic candidate for governor Eric Swalwell. Tax returns and campaign finance filings show, between 2021 and 2024, Swalwell and his wife consistently brought in an income in the top five percent of households in Washington D.C. Despite that, they still made a series of cash-raising moves. That includes drawing down retirement accounts, delaying their federal tax payments and spending heavily on childcare using campaign funds. Swalwell and his wife, Brittany, took home an average income of more than 444-thousand dollars during the four-year period.
