Congressman Eric Swalwell from Northern California is being accused of sexual assault. An unnamed former staffer of the leading Democratic candidate in the California Governor’s race tells the San Francisco Chronicle that she had a sexual relationship with him while he was her boss. The woman says he had sex with her twice when she was too drunk to consent. She says during one of the sexual encounters she specifically said no and told him to stop. Swalwell put out a statement today calling the allegations lies, and has had his lawyer send a cease and desist letter to the woman.
