Iran is reportedly still reviewing a proposal from the United States aimed at bringing an end to the ongoing war, according to several published reports. President Trump has continued to express optimism that a peace agreement can eventually be reached, saying negotiations remain active despite rising tensions in the region. At the same time, Trump warned yesterday that if Iran rejects the proposal, future military strikes would be “more intense” than previous bombing campaigns. The comments come as concerns grow about the possibility of a wider regional conflict involving U.S. allies and vital shipping lanes. Meanwhile, NBC News reports that a Trump administration plan designed to help commercial and military ships safely navigate the Strait of Hormuz has been temporarily suspended. The report says Saudi Arabia halted U.S. military access to its bases and airspace for operations connected to the mission known as “Project Freedom,” creating new complications for American military planning in the Gulf region.
