Spencer Pratt has publicly responded after failing to secure a spot in the November runoff election for Los Angeles mayor. In a video posted to social media on Wednesday, titled “Saving LA – Phase Three,” Pratt addressed supporters and outlined his plans following the end of his campaign.
During the video, Pratt sharply criticized both current Mayor Karen Bass and City Councilmember Nithya Raman, who will advance to the general election. He said his efforts to challenge what he described as corruption in city government are continuing despite his defeat in the primary race.
Pratt also stated that, now that he is no longer an active candidate, he feels freer to speak openly because he no longer has to comply with campaign-related restrictions or tailor his message to appeal to broader media audiences. In addition, he claimed that several Los Angeles business owners have told him they are considering leaving the city because either Bass or Raman is expected to become the next mayor. The candidates have not responded publicly to his remarks.
