Federal authorities are continuing their investigation into two Southern California men accused of plotting an attack on last Sunday’s UFC Freedom 250 event held on the White House lawn. The suspects, 24-year-old Bryan Omar Roa of Calimesa and 32-year-old Michael Alan Thomas of Pinon Hills, were arrested Saturday and have since made their initial court appearances.
Following the arrests, FBI agents searched both residences and recovered multiple firearms, ammunition, and tactical equipment. At Roa’s home, investigators found a handgun, rifle, tactical vest, two-way radio, and a laser target pointer. At Thomas’ residence, agents seized two rifles, a pistol, and approximately 180 rounds of ammunition.
According to the FBI, the alleged terror plot involved at least 19 individuals and included plans for coordinated explosions and gunfire. An unsealed FBI affidavit states that the suspects intended to use drones to trigger explosions and then open fire on guests as they evacuated the area during the resulting chaos.
