A 15-year-old Rosemead High School student has died following a triple stabbing in El Monte. Authorities say Aziel Zacapala was stabbed around 1 p.m. Friday in the 9700 block of Fern Street. He and two other victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, where Zacapala later died from his injuries. Family members say the teen had reportedly been involved in a fight near Potrero Elementary School shortly before the stabbing, but they say they have received few details about what led to the violence. Police say the two other victims, both adult men, suffered injuries but are expected to recover. Investigators have not announced any arrests or identified any suspects in the case. The circumstances surrounding the stabbing remain under investigation as detectives work to determine what happened and are asking anyone with information or surveillance video to contact the El Monte Police Department.
