Palisades Village, the outdoor shopping center that has been closed since the January 2025 wildfire, will reopen Saturday following more than $100 million in renovations. The Pacific Palisades shopping center was largely spared from the devastating fire after owner Rick Caruso brought in private firefighters to help protect the property. Those crews also helped save several nearby homes, while many surrounding buildings were destroyed by the flames. Although Palisades Village itself suffered limited damage, some buildings were stripped and rebuilt from the inside out to ensure smoke and other fire-related damage was removed. The reopening marks a major step in the community’s recovery months after the wildfire devastated large portions of the Pacific Palisades. Caruso says most of the businesses and restaurants operating at the shopping center before the fire are returning, although several new owners will also be joining the lineup. The reopening is expected to bring renewed activity to the neighborhood as residents continue rebuilding.
