CA Wildfires Grow Near Big Sur

Wildfires continue to expand near California’s Big Sur region, prompting evacuations and threatening homes in wooded areas south of Monterey. The fast-moving Plaskett Fire has burned more than 15,000 acres and remained just one percent contained as of Sunday night. Fire crews are working to build containment lines near coastal Highway One and around the U.S. Army’s Fort Hunter Liggett.
