A Bakersfield television news anchor has been granted a temporary restraining order against a woman accused of shooting at his station twice in less than a week. KBAK/KBFX anchor Aaron Perlman says in court documents he believes he was the intended target, despite never having met 46-year-old Thomashana Renee Zeigler. Police say Zeigler fired shots into the station’s building on October 9th and again on October 13th. The gunfire shattered windows, but no one was injured. Zeigler was arraigned Tuesday, and a not guilty plea was entered on her behalf. She remains in custody without bail as the case proceeds. The restraining order requires Zeigler to stay at least 100 yards away from Perlman, his wife, their home and their workplaces. Authorities have not publicly established a motive for the shootings. The allegations remain under investigation, and Zeigler is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
