Your holiday travels don’t have to be a big hassle. Travel expert and TV host Julia says the key to beating the stress is preparation.
“There’s 28.5 million of us American traveling around. So you have to expect some crowds; you have expect some lineups. Tip number one, you have to manage your expectations, and just knowing that it’s going to be a little bit busier, really give yourself more time to get to the airport: Do two hours before domestic flights and three hours before international. And then, you won’t be so stressed out when you have time on your side.”
She says you don’t have to fly from LAX.
“A great way to save money and avoid some of those crowds is really to look at alternative airports.”
She says she arrived at Burbank Airport yesterday and had no problems.
“It was such an enjoyable experience. I breezed through security and – no crowds.”
