Lyft Inc. is being sued by a woman who alleges she was raped by a driver for the ride-hailing company in 2015 after her boyfriend hired him to take her to a hotel. He did that because she had been drinking and did not want to drive.
The woman is identified only as Alyssa Doe in her Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit alleges negligence, battery and a violation of her civil rights.
A Lyft representative could not be immediately reached.
