(Los Angeles, CA) — The SAG-AFTRA Los Angeles Local board is at odds with the national board over their newest contract. The statements says the LA Local board voted against the 2020 TV/theatrical contract by a super majority vote of 69-percent to 31-percent. The LA Local makes up 50-percent of SAG membership and generates more than half the revenue. Meantime, SAG-AFTRA’s national board has voted to approve the tentative three-year contract, which includes a 26-percent increase in streaming residuals, a wage increase of up to three-percent and nearly 100-million-dollars for a Health Plan.
