(Los Angeles County, CA) — Los Angeles is having trouble keeping up with COVID-19 testing demand. There are currently no more available appointments for the rest of the week throughout the county which includes private and public clinics, according to the director of health services. Dr. Christina Ghaly said the lack of testing comes from the past few weeks plus closures over the Fourth of July weekend. Officials are working overtime to meet demand by adding new appointment slots, increasing staffing, and extending facility hours.
