(San Diego, CA) — Many San Diego County residents are being forced to claim unemployment benefits for a second time since March. Due to Governor Gavin Newsom’s recent executive order shutting down most indoor businesses, many have had to refile for unemployment assistance just days before the federal stimulus of an additional 600-dollars per week expires. Some San Diegans told KNSD-TV they are still waiting on full or partial unemployment funds from the first time they filed. Experts say those with prior claims might have an advantage in getting their benefits faster this time around.
