(Los Angeles, CA) — Los Angeles County is following the state’s lead and will now allow people from different households to gather outdoors again. On Wednesday, local health officials said they’ll be aligning the county’s guidelines with those of the state. That means friends and family from up to three different households can hang-out, but it must happen outside. All large outdoor gatherings are still banned, except for religious congregations and protests.
BUT…
Dr. Anthony Fauci says families might need smaller servings this Thanksgiving. Fauci told CBS Evening News Americans might have to “sacrifice that social gathering” because of the coronavirus. The nation’s top infectious disease expert called it “unfortunate” because it is a significant tradition. He said it might be okay if you know the people around you aren’t infected. Fauci admitted his Thanksgiving is going to look a lot different, that his daughters won’t be coming for the holiday because of their concerns about the virus.
