(Sacramento, CA) — Unions are becoming more aggressive in their stance on vaccines for teachers after Governor Newsom outlined plans to reopen schools. Mari Barke, a Trustee with Orange County’s Board of Education, says unions are using a vaccine requirement as a bargaining chip. David Fisher with the Sacramento City Teachers Association commented that while he doesn’t know it to be a fact, he thinks the requirement for teacher vaccinations may end up being worked out at the legislative level.
