Canada Opening Border To Fully Vaccinated Americans August 9

(Ottawa) — Fully vaccinated Americans will be allowed to visit Canada in just a few weeks. The Canadian government says Americans who have gotten their coronavirus vaccine can skip the two week quarantine and enter the country on August 9th. The quarantine exemption applies to U.S. citizens and permanent residents who have received their shots. The reopening of the border will come nearly a year and a half after the pandemic shut down non-essential cross-border travel. Fully vaccinated citizens from other countries will have to wait until September 7th to enter Canada and not be subject to quarantine.
