Research Shows COVID Spreading Quickly In Deer Population
(Undated) — New research is showing COVID-19 is now spreading among the deer population. The study says roughly a third of deer sampled had active or recent COVID infections. The findings were made amongst deer in Ohio and Iowa. While there’s no record of deer spreading COVID-19 back to humans, scientists fear new variants could emerge in deer and that could be spread back to people.
