(Washington, DC) — Probably in an attempt to buoy his plunging approval ratings President Biden is backing the renewed push to pass an Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution. Biden released a statement calling on immediate congressional passage of a resolution recognizing ratification of the ERA–which, given the two generations that have passed and the advances that have come, could be viewed as pandering to women. He called it long overdue. Biden insisted no one should be discriminated against based on their sex. It reads: “Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex.”
