DeSantis Blasts Decision To Appeal Mask Mandate Ruling

(Destin, FL) — Florida Governor Ron DeSantis opposes the Justice Department’s decision to appeal a court ruling striking down the federal mask mandate on mass transit. Speaking in the state’s Panhandle, the Republican said “There should be no mandates, period.” DeSantis singled out the airline mandate, saying it’s “one of the most cruel,” adding because of air filtration systems “you just don’t have outbreaks on planes.” The governor again called the mandates “COVID Theater” and said the federal government is trying to “prolong the misery” that flight attendants have had to deal with.
