Energy Emergency Declared In CA
(Sacramento, CA) — The California Independent System Operator is announcing an Energy Emergency Alert from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. due to excessive heat and power demand. Energy regulartors called for a flex alert for the sixth straight day. Now, the new warning ups the ante, stating that if residents don’t do enough to conserve power this afternoon, rolling blackouts could occur. The highest temperatures of the current heat wave are expected today and tomorrow.
