(Los Angeles, CA) — The LAPD is rolling out a new program with hopes of attracting new recruits. The Housing For Hires program offers LAPD police recruits a 24-thousand-dollar housing subsidy for 24 months. According to a report from the Los Angeles Business Journal, the program can only support up to 200 new recruits — for now.
It’s like a contest: The first 200 recruits to become LAPD cops, get $24k for housing.
