(Washington, DC) — Friday will mark 30 years since Dianne Feinstein became a Senator from California. It would make her the longest-serving female senator in U.S history, surpassing former Maryland Senator Barbara Mikulski. In a statement from Feinstein’s office, she said it’s an incredible honor to become the longest-serving female senator in the nation’s history and she’s forever grateful to Californians who chose to have her represent them. She ran for office in 1992.
