(Los Angeles, CA) — Los Angeles County’s gasoline prices fell overnight for the first time in several days. The Auto Club says the current local average cost of a gallon of self-serve regular is $4.56. That’s up four cents above last week’s average, a dime higher than last month’s price at the pump and about $1.50 since Joe Biden changed energy polices upon entering the White House. The current cost is eleven cents lower than one year ago–as prices reached record levels in 2022. Before today — county gas prices climbed ten out of eleven days for a total increase of six cents. Triple “A” spokesman Doug Shupe points out, “Southern California’s shift to producing summer-blend gasoline, annual refinery maintenance that can affect fuel supply, increasing oil prices worldwide and increased gas demand in the spring are the reasons…prices are likely to rise in coming weeks.”
Gas prices up over last month.
