(New York, NY) — Wall Street is closing mixed after a hotter-than-expected inflation report. Stocks slid in roller coaster trading after the January consumer price index showed inflation grew at a six-point-four percent annual rate. The report renewed fears that the Federal Reserve will keep raising interest rates. At the closing bell, the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 156 points to 34,089. The S&P 500 lost one point to 4,136. The Nasdaq gained 68 points to 11,960.
