(Sacramento, CA) — There’s a new push to ban Skittles from California shelves. A bill would stop the sale of other popular candies like Nerds and Hot Tamales due to five additives considered dangerous and toxic. The lawmakers leading the way claim most of the chemicals have never been independently evaluated by the FDA or were last reviewed decades ago. The bill is expected to be heard in the coming weeks.
