A Riverside city councilwoman is facing DUI charges for a second time. Clarissa Cervantes was arrested last Saturday, just a few weeks after a judge dropped her previous DUI conviction. Her first drunk driving arrest was in 2015. Cervantes, who was elected in 2021, is also in the middle of a run for a California State Assembly seat. Some of her constituents are now calling for her to resign. Cervantes is due in court on August 30th.
