A federal judge in California is rejecting Hunter Biden’s efforts to get criminal tax charges dismissed. Prosecutors last year accused the President’s son of failing to pay his taxes, along with tax evasion and filing fraudulent forms.
Biden’s attorneys argued that the lead prosecutor, special counsel David Weiss, was acting vindictively and subject to a pressure campaign from Republicans.
On Monday Judge Mark Scarsi ruled those arguments didn’t carry weight. Biden’s lawyers have suggested they may appeal.
