(Washington, DC) — Americans are planning on buying gifts as usual this year despite the pandemic. According to the latest Gallup poll, people guess they’ll spend around 850-dollars, around the same as last year. But that is higher than the 805-dollars Americans expected to spend in October, which points to a better outcome for retailers. The numbers reflect the public’s hope for a sense of normalcy this holiday season.
