Wednesday Is Clean Air Day In California

(Sacramento, CA) — Wednesday is Clean Air Day in California. Air quality officials say it’s a reminder for everyone to consider ways to reduce vehicle emissions in the short term and in the long term. This can include walking, biking, car pooling, or taking public transit. Bigger steps can be achieved by installing solar panels, or ditching gasoline powered cars and buying zero-emission vehicles. Officials say other ideas can include planting something, composting more food waste, or replacing air filters. Another idea is switching out gas-powered yard tools with electric or manual tools. Almost all of the top-ten most polluted metro areas in the US are in California.
