There are a lot more questions than answers regarding the middle school shooting in Westlake that left two students with gunshot wounds.
Why did a 12-year-old girl allegedly shoot her two classmates? Where did she get the gun and could this have been prevented?
Those are questions investigators and L.A. Police Lt. Ramirez are trying to answer themselves.
“This is a very serious and complex investigation and we’re going to treat it that way.”
The shooting happened inside a classroom at Sal Castro Middle School.
