The San Francisco cyclist community is mourning the murder of one of its own. Colden Kimber was killed over the weekend when he was stabbed by a man at a train station in what police say was an unprovoked attack. Witnesses told authorities the suspect had been yelling at and threatening a mother and her two children, and that Kimber had placed himself in between in an effort to shield them from the man’s actions. Kimber was well known in the area for his love of cycling and was working on a kinesiology degree at San Francisco State University. The suspect has been arrested and charged with murder. He’ll be back in court later this month.
