CA Congressman Want To Halt Fed Gas Tax.

(Washington, DC) — California drivers are paying the highest gas prices in the country according to triple-A. Central Valley congressman Josh Harder is calling for tax relief at the pump. The democratic representative says families in his Modesto-area district are hit hard and he is “sick and tired of government making the situation worse.” He is calling for suspending the federal gas tax, which adds just over eighteen cents per gallon. A new bill would end the federal tax for the rest of this year. It also has provisions to ensure that those savings are passed along to consumers and not absorbed by the oil companies.
