A judge will decide whether last week’s three-day strike by L-A Unified employees was legal.
The district recently went to the California Public Employment Relations Board and filed unfair labor practice charges against its two employees’ unions. The LAUSD claims labor leaders didn’t meet the requirements to declare an economically-motivated strike. The district also says the unions don’t have enough evidence to justify an unfair labor practice strike either. An administrative law judge will have the final say.
