President Trump: Illinois and California Are Being Run by “Incompetent People”

President Trump believes the “people of Chicago” support his efforts to use the National Guard to fight crime.  Today, Trump told reporters at the White House that Illinois and California are being run by “incompetent people.”  He defended his use of the Guard in Los Angeles, again claiming the city would not be hosting the Olympics in 2028 if he hadn’t sent in the troops this summer.  The President indicated National Guard troops may be sent to New Orleans next.  He noted the cooperation he’s getting from the Republican governor of Louisiana over expanded ICE operations there.
