President Trump is attending a Middle East peace summit in Egypt on what’s being described as a pivotal day for the region. Talking to reporters just before the meeting, Trump said Egypt played a very important part in the peace process between Israel and Hamas. Earlier today Hamas released all 20 remaining Israeli hostages held since October 7th of 2023. Arrangements are being made to return the remains of 28 deceased hostages and free roughly two-thousand Palestinian detainees. Trump said search parties will be out looking for the bodies of hostages. In remarks to the Israeli Parliament, Trump called today the “historic dawn of a new Middle East.”
