President Trump says federal agents won’t be sent to San Francisco. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said his administration was getting ready to “surge” San Francisco with agents to crackdown on crime and immigration, but friends in the area asked him to not move forward with it. They told him that Mayor Daniel Lurie is making progress in the city and Trump added he spoke to the Mayor last night, who asked him to give him a chance to “turn it around.” As a result, Trump said they will not surge San Francisco on Saturday.
