Much of Southern California remains under a flood watch as a Christmas storm pounds the region. At least three deaths have been linked to the holiday storm. Yesterday a San Diego man was killed when a tree fell on him. Governor Gavin Newsom has declared an emergency due to threats from intense rainfall on “already saturated soils.” The declaration says recently burned areas in the region face “an increased threat of mudslides and debris flows.” The National Weather Service says a “High Risk of Excessive Rainfall” will be in effect throughout the day.
We sincerely hope you are staying safe inside these holidays. If you see/know of any wind damage, flooding, rock/mud/landslides, etc. please let us know when, where, and any photos/videos if possible. PLEASE stay safe and avoid travel today and Thursday. pic.twitter.com/9i66A3pDMt
