A company linked with Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin moved out of California in late December. Business Insider reports Palo Alto-based T-Rex LLC converted out of California into a Delaware LLC called T-Rex Holdings on December 24th. It comes ahead of a potential wealth tax, or “billionaire tax” in California. Some lawmakers are proposing a one-time 5% tax on billionaires’ assets. It appears Page and Brin beat what would be a 2026 deadline for the proposed tax. Page also moved his family office from California to Delaware in late December. Google headquarters is remaining in California.
