Former NFL player Kevin Johnson was found murdered in a Los Angeles homeless encampment on Wednesday. The 55-year-old died from blunt head trauma and stab wounds while sleeping in the Willowbrook area. Johnson was a Los Angeles native who played for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Oakland Raiders from 1995 until 1997. After the NFL, he played in the Arena Football League with the Orlando Predators and the LA Avengers. His friends tell KABC-TV he was a wonderful person who was suffering from health problems. They believe he might have had CTE after many years in football. Anyone with information about his murder is asked to call LA police.
