Hundreds gathered in Chico on Saturday for a memorial service for the late Congressman Doug LaMalfa. House Speaker Mike Johnson along with several others made the trip from DC. Governor Gavin Newsom and U.S. Senator Adam Schiff were also in attendance. Before being elected to the U.S. House in 2012, LaMalfa served in the California State Assembly and State Senate. LaMalfa died on January 5th while he was in surgery after a medical emergency at this home.
