President Trump says he had a “good call” with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz today and both men “want to make it better” after another deadly ICE-involved shooting. Trump also confirmed to Walz he’s sending his Border Czar Tom Homan to the state.
Walz’s office added that President Trump agreed to speak with Department of Homeland Security leaders about allowing the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is able to conduct an independent investigation. The president also posted on social media that he and Governor Walz appeared to be on a similar wavelength.
The President’s post comes on the same day Minnesota officials are in federal court, trying to halt the ongoing ICE operations.
