The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirms three federal air marshals were escorted out of a restaurant in Lynwood. On Wednesday night, a crowd formed at Plaza Mexico, believing the air marshals were ICE agents. The trio was eating at a Korean barbecue restaurant at the time. Word of ICE activity quickly spread through the restaurant, then on social media. The air marshals called for help, leading to dozens of Sheriff’s deputies responding. Deputies separated the air marshals from the crowd by forming a skirmish line in the parking lot. The air marshals were then walked to the sidewalk and picked up.
