Governor Newsom is setting aside 35 million dollars to support undocumented immigrants as deportations increase. The money will help community groups provide food and other aid to immigrant families. This is on top of funds already allocated for legal help. California is providing aid despite a nearly $3 Billion deficit and after limiting healthcare for undocumented immigrants. Over the summer, President Trump approved 170 billion dollars for immigration enforcement to deport up to one million people a year for four years.
